Innovative Necrophilia Records

Founded in 2004 in Flagstaff, AZ by Ezra Ravencroft; Innovative Necrophilia Records is a loosely "affiliated" project label. Innovative Necrophilia Studios is currently located in Philadelphia, PA; and boasts absolutely no high-end gear, cerftified technicians or intent to sell. Please understand this is a "diy/underground" label/studio and will continue to remain so at the discretion of it's founder/Ceo/Vice-President.

Originally, Innovative Necrophilia Records was established to meet the production and recording needs of the band Blame Jesus; but gradually branched off to include several unique (and somewhat bizarre) progressive, and generally very dark, free-range deep listening experiments- blending elements of electronic free jazz, free noise, drone rock & apocalyptic folk, post-goth, ambient/industrial into a psychotic hodge-podge of what the future of music could (but probably won't) be.

While the majority of releases are projects involving the label's founder, 2007 marks a new year in "branching out," to include friends and strangers alike. While initially the catalog contained only self produced recordings, it gradually began to include several releases from other studios, labels etc. Innovative Necrophilia Records hopes to continue in this tradition of self releases and "borrowed" releases.
